Hello friends and Family!

So sorry for the delay in posts a lot has been going on in the Harkness house hold!
Will has been going to school to finish his bachelor's degree. He only has 3 semesters left!! Hooray!! It has been a hard adjustment having him in school. Me and the kids both miss him very much but he is very hard worker and has been doing great! He just finished his finals this week so we get to have him for the next 3 weeks!

In the last few months I have switched jobs and now I get to stay home with my kids. I love it! I watch 2 boys Max who is 3 and Ace who is 3 months. Yes I know what you are thinking....I am crazy because during the day, with my kids I have a 3 month, 1, 2 and 3 year old children!! Crazy but is very fun to be at home. Kaydence and max get a long great and she loves having a friend over everyday. I also starting teaching piano. I only have one student at the moment but I love it!

Kaydence is still her same self- bubbly, always on the move! Her vocabulary has grown to about 100 words per minute! lol! She tells me stuff and sometimes I have no idea where she heard it! But I love her!

Brennan is so dear. His big brown eyes just melt my heart. He turned one in august and is walking all over the place. He has really slimed down because he has to keep up with his sister. But oh I love him!!

Other then that we are just doing the same old stuff just a different day! We are so excited for Christmas and for santa to come this year. Will and I had a BLAST shopping for them. They aren't getting a whole lot because of course they have a ton of aunts, uncles, and grandmas and grandpas who are going to be spoiling them rotten but oh we can't wait for Christmas morning!!

5 years!

Well we just celebrated our 5 year anniversary last thursday! I can't believe it has already been that long. What can we say over the last 5 years we have had 2 wonderful kids, bought a house, I graduated from college, we became and aunt and an uncle, and lots of other things that I don't have all day to sit and write! We've had our ups and downs and have learned a lot and have grown closer together. We are still learning a lot especially when it comes to being parents! Everyday brings something more and more exciting! I can't wait to see what the next 5 years will bring! Love you Will.

Summer!!

Finally the weather has decided it wants to be summer! Summer is my favorite time of year and not just for the good weather but the activites, food, fun days at the park, camping, hiking, swimming and of course my birthday (which is only in 3 weeks!!!!) So a couple of weekends ago we went to see my dad for father's day and he has a pool. Kaydence has loved swimming last year we took her a few times to the free days and she loved it. Well as you may know she has absolutely no fear whatsoever and of course she proved it yet again at my dad's house. She watched me jump of the diving board and she wanted to do it. I couldn't ump of fast enough to keep up with her she was right behid me. I would run and jump and pop up out of the water just in time to turn around and catch her and she jumped off. I was so much fun! We did have a little accident while we were there. She slipped on my feet and banged her eye into the table and cut her eye pretty good. If she would've hit a little harder she would have had to have stiches. But do you think that stopped her. NOPE not even ten minutes later she was saying "Come on mom, I go swimming". I just love her!
Brennan had a blast as well he loved sitting in the water and playing with the diving toys. He would sit and chew on them and then through them in for me or Will to go get. We had a great time and the best part was the next day they both took like 3 hour naps!
We also went to Bear Lake this last weekend and Kaydence was at it again. She is such a water bug. We had a hard time getting her out of the water to eat and drink. The water was freezing but that didn't seem to bother her at all!

I 'm so excited my little brother Miles will be coming home in 2 1/2 weeks from the New Zealand Wellington Mission. He left when Kaydence was 2 weeks old and now she just turned 2 last Friday! I can hardly believe that it has gone this fast!!! Will is very excited as well, him and Miles are quite good buddies. I can't wait for Miles to see how Kaydence has grown and meet Brennan. I've been working really hard with Kaydence so she will say his name and now everyday she asks me "Where uncle Miles?" So I have tto tell her we get to go pick him up in just a few weeks and she replies "oh ok".

We also jut had Kaydence's b-day. She got spoiled ROTTEN! She is so excited that she is finally 2. The last few days she has said "Mom, I two." and I say yep you are! I am not sure how I like having a 2 year old. It seems like just yesterday I brought her home and our whole world changed. She has brought a lot o joy and happiness to our family and she continues to brighten everyday!

CRAZY KAYDENCE!

So I decided to write a little bit about my crazy daughter! As you can see from the pictures this is what living with Kaydence is like. She is so cute and fun but boy can she find herself into trouble. She lvoes getting into my makeup! As you can see from the pictures she has makeup all over her eyes. she thinks that the applicators are q-tips but for some reason she decided to stick it up her nose. She also knows exactly where to find my makeup. In the bottom far corner. She will put on all her bows and then go get my makeup. Can you tell by the look on her face that she knows what she is doing? We are also int he potty training stage that is why she is in her diaper. On quick piece of advice. She got to where she would take her diaper off while she was taking a nap and so I put it on backwards adn she can't figure it out. I was so sick of cleaning up pee on the floor!

She also loves to play with Will's hats and not just the clean ones! She will put on his hat after he comes home from work and walk around. YUCK!!! For awhile she hated the bath tub but I would try to make it fun for her and so one night i was washing her hair and I got it to stick straight up. It was so funny. So now she always asks me to stick her hair up.

Overall she is a very good girl jsut very entertaining and so busy!

Another BIG Harkness update...

Just a warning this entry is quite long and random but should bring us up to date!

March- Happy Easter! This was her dress. We went to the dance at my grandma's. she looked jut like a little princess. Work has picked up for Will, so that has been a huge blessing. I have worked really hard with my Mary Kay business and I finished first month of Car qualifications. I am so excited. I am hoping to finish it up in the month of April and i will have earned a free car with Mary Kay!
On a sad note my grandpa passed away this month. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. He was my only grandpa and he was an amazing man. He woud always make me feel important and like i was the favorite grandkid. He will be missed a lot. My love and prayers are with my lonely grandma.

I just love this picture. Also lately they have started to play with each other. Kaydence just loves him and always wants to hug him. Every morning when we are getting ready I lay them on the bed and change them both. Kaydence will roll over and say "good morning Bre". It is so cute.

February- Work was slow for Will but we managed. Kaydence did love it when Will would be home for lunch. (and i loved it when she wanted him to put her down for a nap!) Brennan came down with RSV. My life revovled around feeding, changing diapers, and giving him 3 to 4 treatments a day. We also gave Kaydence a treatment a few times. She HATED it. So now the joke is whenever she is introuble we ask her "Do you want a treatmnet?" of Course she usually she "No". We also are now feeding Brennan solids and he has been in Kaydence's high chair. One night after dinner i guess he was just way to tired he couldn't wait for me to put him to bed.

Sorry for the delay in posts. We have no internet at the moment. Just trying to save a little money. But i thought i better write a little and update everyone.

Will- is trying to stay busy with work. They haven't officially layed him off but we are just on a day to day basis with work. He is a very hard worker and is trying so hard to provide for out family. He also just got into a little accident about a week ago but he is ok. He was running an errand and hit some black ice and ran into a ditch and tipped the truck on its side. Luckily he walked away with only a few bruises.

Me- working a little part time to help out the family finacially and working really hard with my Mary Kay business. I am working on earning my first free car. I really enjoy running my own little business and meeting new people and helping them increase their self-esteem. Plus it gives me a chance to talk to people my age for a couple hours a day. I can only talk 2 year old jibberish for so long!

Kaydence- Oh boy what do i say about kaydence. That girl has more spunk then she knows what to do with. Everyday is a new adventure with her. One night I was trying to make a good dinner for Will and Brennan was crying, the oven was beeping and then there was Kaydence dancing on the top on my kitchen table! Sometimes i don't no where she comes up with the things she does but i can't get mad at her because it is so funny. She is really into coloring latley and sometimes it doesn't always end up on the paper. She is also talking up a storm. If you ask her how old she is going to be she will say "five". So i guess i am going to have a 5 year old in a few months.

Brennan- Oh my sweet little boy who doesn't sleep at night! He is so sweet and just goes with the flow which is good because his sister wants to take him everywhere! The older he gets the more and more he looks just like Will. His eyes have stayed really dark and he is just so cute! He just turned 5 months. I can hardly believe that he is already that old.

Well i know this is getting to be a long post but i haven't written anything in a long time!

Sorry for the delay in posts its been pretty crazy at our house. As you can see from my last post we lost one of our cars. In the month of september is was like our lives had been turned upside down. The only blessing in that month was that we had a beautiful baby boy who is our little piece of heaven in a rough month. Within the same week as our car breaking down I cam down with Mastitus for a few days. I had a fever and really didn't feel good but I had to feel good no matter what because Will had to work and I had to small kids who both needed me and sometimes at the sametime. Without me working we had to really cut back on expenses and boy have we learned how to live on our food storage and really budget. At least we have each other and we have come a lot closer as a family. Plus we still have a beautiful baby boy.... who of course looks exactly like Will!

On monday Will went to work and broke down in the Honda on the freeway. He had it towed to our mechanic. We later found out that we will be burying this car! It was going to cost more then the car is worth to fix it. It has been a good little run around car that my parents gave to us when we got married. We are thankful that it has lasted us this long but it could've at least happened later when we were a little more stable financially, But I guess things happen for a reason and I am sure we will find out what that reason is later on!

Welcome Baby Boy!

Sorry its been crazy at our house. Trying to keep up with a 15 month old and now a new baby that i haven't even had a chance to sit and upload some pictures of Brennan. Plus it was a complete surprise he came three weeks early and I went into labor all by myself. We went up to the hospital on Sunday Aug 30 just to see if anything was going on because i felt horrible and like i had ran a marathon. Sure enough in one hour i went from a 4 to a 6 and they kept me there. 3 hours later we had a new arrival. Brennan William Harkness was born at 10:43pm he weighed 6lbs and was 18 1/2 inches long. He is such a sweet heart and very patient (especially with his bigger sister). We are glad he is here safe and sound.

We have however spent the last two weeks every other day at the doctor. He lost a lot of weight and his juandice went way high so he had to spend a few nights under the lights. But he has gained all of his weight ut and more and is doing great!

Better late then never! At my mom's home town of Bear River city, every year they have a huge 24th celebration. Thay have a program, races, a parade, an auctin, baby contest, fish pond and tons of other things. Well we entered Kaydence into the baby contest for her age group and she won! 2 years in a row she has won for the cutest baby! (Not to brag or anything!) I myself think she is the cutest! I am excited for next year because she gets to be entered in and if she wins she will be the queen and get to ride in the rodeo!

Well we had what is probably the first of many to come. A big black eye! We went to our ward campout this weekend and Kaydence has just become pretty good at walking. She is still a little unstable ad tries to run and falls a lot but she just picks herself up and says "ouchie" and then is usually on her way. This time we weren't so lucky. A group of kids were walking by and didn't see her and she lost her balance and fell right into the picnic table and she a pretty good black eye. We were lucky that it didn't split open or anything else but she looks pretty bruised! Poor thing!

So it's just a few days late but better late then never! On wednesday we celebrated our 4 year anniversary! Crazy how time has just flown by! It seems like only a short time ago we were dating and what seemed like FOREVER! We decided to celebrate on Friday but then Kaydence came home with a little bit of a cold, (which i though were just her teeth coming in again), sure enough we both got it and have been in bed for the last two days! What a celebration!

I was also reflecting on our ceremony when the sealer talked alot about family and that it was never to early to start on creating one. It has been a lot of fun to be parents but i guess when the sealer said that was never to early to start he also meant that we shouldn't wait to have more as well! :) We are excited though to have another little bundle of joy and excitement in our home!

Although we have been sick and haven't been able to celebrate on a positive note Will decided that he wanted to get me something that will last a lot longer then flowers because they just die, he got me a really nice house plant so that it will last a lot longer and it can be a reminder of the years to come.

Kaydence is obsessed with Will's glasses. She thinks it is so cool to put them on and take them off. However Will's glasses are way to expensive for her to be playing with them so one day at Walmart we found her some glasses of her own and she looks just like a movie star!! She had to wear them all through the store and so many people were commenting on how she looked like she belonged in Hollywood.

Today is our Baby.... well I guess toddler's birthday! Kaydence is one years old! I can't believe where the time has gone. I was thinking this morning when I went an got her out of bed that one year ago I was holding her in my arms and just staring at her with amazement. She has become our world and life revovles around her! (Literally!)

We found out last week that we are having a boy and with all the hussle with my graduation I forgot to post about it! I was really secretly hoping for another girl because we already have everything girl but it is going to be fun to have a little boy around the house. Especially for Will! He is ready to have someone to wrestle with and play out in the garage! Even though Kaydence loves her daddy, mommy doesn't like her to be all rough and tough! I have really started to ge excited about a little boy. However this poor child might not have a name for a long time! Me and Will can't agree on anything so, so far we have a last name! Finally the day came and I am now a college graduate! It was a great day to finally feel done! I worked very hard all while being pregnant, a mom, and pregnant again! I am so gald it is over and we got to celebrate that whole day! I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies with and Education Minor. I just have to give a great shout out to everyone who helped us babysit Kaydence while I finished school! Thank you!

Harkness News!

Well as you all know because Will can't keep secrets we are gong to be having another baby! This came as a huge surprise in fact it was a complete shock! I was wondering how in the heck are we going to manage. We have just been getting used to the fact that we have a little person around the house with a very BIG ATTITUDE! There is a saying that says "I'm the princess and we'll run things my way" it completely true only Kaydence is the Queen! She definatly has a strong personality and if she doesn't want something or doesn't want to sleep she simply won't! So I have been having a struggle thinking how in the world, will isn't going to be done with school, how are we going to pay for another baby, and so on and so forth! Well i went to my first doc apointment and that changed my whole perspective. I am very grateful to be given the chance to have another baby and Heavenly Father knows that I can do it otherwise he wouldn't have given me this challenge. I am also greatful to have a husband who loves Kaydence and takes such great care of her so that will be a huge help to me! So we are very excited to be able to get another one so soon even though I am going to be very VERY busy!

Update on Kaydence. Besides having a HUGE ATTITUDE, she is crawling all over the place and into everything! She loves to stand up to every thing especially in her crib. Her favorite thing to do is stand up in her crib and yell "Mama or Dada" and the bounce. She is also loving be independent and finding her own toys and helping mom undo all of the laundry! She is going to be turning one in about a month and a half and I am so excited to have a birthday party and have my first attempt at making a decorative cake!

The big arrival date is September 20, 2009. However I went about a week early with Kaydence so sometime in the first part of Septemeber we will be getting another baby Harkness!

On to other news. Only four 4 weeks til I graduate with my Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies with an Educaiton Emphasis. I can't hardly stand it I am so excited to finally be graduating. This program has been a great education and it is going to benefit my family for years to come so now it will be time to put into practice what I have learne din the last 41/2 years!

New Year Up date!!!

Ok so here's the scoop at the Harkness house! A lot has been going to on to keep us very busy. kaydence is starting to crawl and she has so many new words that inlcude "MAMA" "DADA" which she is still working on this one so it is mostly "MAMAMAMAMAMA" when she wants something! She an also say "hi" if you tell her over and over again. She is also learning the word no. She understands it pretty good when you tell her no but she will look at you just to make sure you really mean it! It is so cute to see her face when you tell her No. She also loves the bath. The other night I was getting her in the bath and I usually let her splash around for a little bit, Well I went to grab her towel and came back and she had the whole bathroom floor soaking wet because she had splashed so much. So after 2 towels we finally got all the water cleaned up. Whoever thought that one little person could make such a mess?!

Also with me I will be graduating from Weber State in a few months and so I am hard at work finishing up my degree in Family Studies. This has been a lot of work and I have so many people tell me that I won't want to finish my schooling now that i have had a baby. So to all of you who think it cna' be done well guess what I am doing it! This is a huge accomplishment for me and I am so proud of myself for sticking with and finishing it up. In my spare time I am also reading the Twlight books. I have finished the first one and loved it I am reading the second one because I got the whole series for Christmas and I am stuck on like the fourth chapter. This one is a lot harder to get through but everyone has said it gets better so keep reading.

Will is still hard at work with Saunders. So far they have enough work to keep them busy for awhile and we are praying that the economy gets better so he will continue to have a job! He is also working hard to graduate from Weber State with his Construction Degree. He can't wait for me to be done so I can help him finish. He is a great Dad and Kaydence loves him! The other day he came home and picked her up and she was so excited for him to be home. He left the room for a minute to go get her some food and she started to fuss because he left her. It was the cutest thing! It is so cute to see him get down on the floor and play with her.

Christmas season has come again......

Well the christmas rush has begun again. Work for Kristin has been so busy! We both finally got school over with only one more semester for Kristin and she will be graduating!!!! Welcome Home.....
My brother Bryan has arrived home for Iowa safe and sound!!!! He came home last friday and it ws a lot of fun picking him up at the airport. My mom had bought some balloons that said welcome home on them and Kaydence decided she needed to play with them! It was a great day to see him and we are glad that he is home!

Hey FRIENDS and FAMILY

A lot has happened to us these last few months and that has kept me from updating our website. As you know this is my last year in school so i am trying to get caught up on all my schooling and turn in everthing for graduation! Yay!!!!
Also we have had a tragic loss to our family. My brother Miles's best friend was killed in a car accident. He was like a little brother to me and this has up set our family tremendously. My brother is doing well and working hard for two in New Zealand but this was a complete shock and my other brothers and sisters are still grieving. Pray for Miles that he will continue to stay on the right path and work hard on his mission!
We are also picking up my brother Bryan from his mission tomorrow!!!! We are very excited for him to come home. He seems like he has changed and for the better and he is excited to see and meet Kaydence!

Kaydence is now learning how to smile and talk. In the morning instead of crying when she wakes up she talks and talks and talks! It's a lot of fun! We love playing with her and she is always in a good mood!

Sorry i have been so bad with updating our blog. Alot has happened. This is us as Will's brother's wedding. He ws married on Aug. 6 in the Jordan River temple. It was a very fun day and i got to buy Kaydence a really fun dress! Mylie and Kaydence looked so cute in their matching dresses! Congrats to the Newlyweds!

2 MONTHS OLD!

So i know i have been really bad and haven't updated our blog for awhile but here is what has been going on! Kaydence is now 21/2 months old. We go into the doctor today to get her shots and checkup. Mom is not very excited! She is now smiling a lot and really knows who her parents are. She is still a great a baby with a few exceptions when mom is at work, she is kind of having mommy withdrawals. Will is still working hard and he just got himself a new big boy toy! He just bought a Buggy for us to take on camping trips and enjoy with our kids. we are excited to take it out! As for me I am trying to get used to being back to work. i like the chance to get out of the house but am missign Kaydence a lot. We are doing great and looking forward to my brother coming home in three months!

This is my grandma holding Kaydence on her blessing day. She was gorgeous and it was such a special day. I will never forget it! Will gave her an amazing blessing. It was short and to the point but the words were simply beautiful. here are the three grandkids on the Harkness side. Bennett is the oldest he is 2 1/2, Mylie who is 5 months, and Kaydence who is almost 2 months.

This was our first trip up to the lake this summer and Kaydence's first time ever in the water. Needless to say she hated the water! But she looked so cute in her pink hat! Will also water skiied. He is pretty good at it if he can stay up, but the water was really rough so he had a hard time.

This was my 23 birthday. I got new clothes, new shoes, mother and daugther charms for my bracelet, a new scrapbook and stuff to go with it, a new movie, and of course the coolest tool ever for my scrapbooking the Crop-o-dile.

This is mommy's little angel. I had no idea that becoming a mother could honestly make you have so much love for something else other than my husband! I have enjoyed staying home with her and looking at her all day long. Everything about her is so cute! I love watching her as she wakes up and looks around. Sometimes I wonder what she is thinking or looking at. I am not going to lie though being a mom is a tough job even if you only have one child but it has been the most rewarding thing so far and I hope that as we go on to build our family that each child will bring me as much joy and happiness and Kaydence does.

Happy Fathers Day! This is Will's first father's day! He is a great new dad! He takes very good care of Kaydence. He loves her very much and it is so cute to watch him give her a bath, quiet her down, and take naps with her. He is a wonderful husband and new father and I am so glad to have him in my life!

A Quick Family Update

Just a quick update to let you all know how we are doing. Will is working very hard for Saunders Construction, while I am staying home on Maternity leave with little Kaydence (and enjoying every moment with her). We have been working, well Will has also been working on small upgrades in our house. In the last week he has tiled our front entry way which looks really good and he is now working on riping up the flooring in the Laundry room so he can lay tile in there as well. I will go back to work in about a month and am looking forward to it but also going to be sad because that means that Kaydence is getting so much bigger!
A big event that we are looking forward to is blessing Kaydence the first Sunday in July. That is going to be one special day!

Russell and Emily came to visit and they brought Bennett and Mylie. Mylie is only 3 months older than Kaydence but next to each other Mylie looks like a giant. Mylie weighed only 11 pounds and Kaydence weighed about 61/2 pounds. But hopefully they will grow up and be about the same size and have fun playing together!

Will's favorite thing to do with Kaydence is take a nap with her! This was a saturday morning when he could just lay in bed with her. I just had to take the opportunity to capture every cute moment he has with her! They are so cute together! Daddy's little angel!

Hello friends and family!

Kaydence is now 2 weeks old! i can't believe that it has already been that fast! she is still a little sweet heart and we love her to pieces! we went to the doctor today for her two week check up and she is now 6n pounds 12 ounces! so in one week she has gained almost a pound! she is still very little and petite which is nice but she needs to grow just a little more to fit in all of her clothes! i am having a very hard time keeping her dressed because she only has so many preemie clothes that fit and we usually go through about three outfits a day between the spitting up and the pooping up her back! (mom usually goes through about two to three outfits as well!) :)

Yesterday was quite and adventure we had to take uncle Miles to the MTC and it was really hard for me to have to say goodbye and know that his niece is going to be 2 when he gets back. It was also really hard to watch him give her a kiss goodbye. Not that she really cares but it was way hard on me! She did leave quite the impression on some people while we were there! Right in the middle of the short orientation she made this loud rumbling noise in her car seat. The people in front of us thought that it was me or Will. I looked down the aisle and saw that my entire family was laughing! So here we are on this sad occasion and she is just right at home leaving her mark!

Being parents takes on a whole new meaning when you have a newborn who doesn't care about anything such as passing gas! I guess you start to loose all decency and manners when you are in public with a newborn!

Here are some stats to go along with the pictures! On my side of the family this is the first grandbaby! On Will's side this is number three for his parents. Both sets of grandparents just love her a lot. All of them can't stand to be away from her for more then a few days! Needless to say she is one well loved and spoiled gandbaby!

Will enjoys taking lots of naps with her when he comes home from work. It is the cutest thing ever to see him with her! She turely is Daddy's little girl!

She is here! Kaydence Elaine Harkness made her entrance into the world on Wednesday May 21st. She weighed 6.2 pounds and was 19 inches long. She definatly loves her daddy and looks just like a girl version of Will! So its a good thing is is pretty cute! Both Mom and her are doing great! We are so excited to have recieved such a special gift from our Heavenly Father! She truely is a princess and a great blessing to have in our home.

Hello Friends and Family:

Just an update on what we've been doing and a look into the future! We just finished another semester at Weber State and are way exctied that it is finally over and we are out for the summer! Will is working hard with Saunders Construction. He already looks like he has been out in the sun for months now! I am working at Shopko as the Customer Service Supervisor and have been for a just over a year! We are looking forward to having a baby here in about three weeks! We are getting a girl and naming her Kaydence Elaine Harkness! We are so excited and can't wait for her to come. Will has been asked so many times if he is ready to be a dad and his reply is "Yeah i'm bored, I have put everything together!" And he has he painted and put together the entire nursery! So the next few weeks we will just be sitting here waiting for little Kaydence to arrive!
